What You Will Do
The Senior Manager of Social & Influencer Marketing keeps community at the core to build affinity and advocacy for the brand by building and nurturing relationships with influencers and advocates, fostering authentic connections that drive loyalty, and ensuring that the professional point of difference remains the foundation of all campaigns, creative, and content. Responsible for the strategic leadership of Advocacy, Influence, and Organic Social for Obagi, this role will develop and implement a comprehensive GTM strategy across earned and owned media that aligns with brand vision and challenges the status quo. The ideal person will be fueled by creativity – an “out-of-the-box” thinker that can deliver innovative, disruptive, and attention-grabbing ideas to ensure the brand stands out from competition.

What We Need:
- Influencer Management:
- Identify, recruit, and maintain relationships with third party advocates to enhance visibility and overall reputation of the organization/brand
- Remain ahead of emerging social media and influencer trends to ensure we are moving at the speed of culture
- Define advocacy strategies to reach specific target audiences and determine the most effective messaging, communication channels, and appropriate advocates
- Strategically utilize the right influencers and partners to amplify and strengthen the brand messages through engaging narratives that deeply connect with target audiences
- Creative Thinking: Generate new innovative ideas, untried approaches, methods, or opportunities to create/increase value
- Data Management: Set clear KPIs and measurement for all programs; leverage data to optimize performance, maximize ROI, and derive actionable insights
- Collaboration: Influence and collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including brand marketing, sales, media and global marketing teams. Manage relationships with external agencies and partners
- Briefing: Provide concise, accurate information to all individuals and groups to ensure seamless communication across all tasks and projects
- Team Management & Development: lead and inspire a high-performing team to maximize performance and business results
- Financial Management: Oversee and manage allocated budgets for social media, influencer marketing, and related activities. Optimize resource allocation for maximum campaign impact to demonstrate efficiency. Ensure leadership and finance has visibility into spend, impact, and plans.
- Connection: Drive connection between the pro and consumer channels, building power duos to push the professional point of difference with consumers and drive desirability among pros.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required. A focus in Life Sciences or Chemistry is highly preferred.
- At least 7-9+ years of relevant experience in influencer marketing & social strategy leadership with a demonstrated success of growing brands through impactful influencer, social, and PR programs.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms and influencer landscape
- Exceptional organizational and project/time management skills; demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Comfortable operating in a fast paced, ever-changing environment; someone who thrives in ambiguity and adapts quickly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other technologies
- An energetic, positive attitude with a genuine passion for beauty that encourages a team and supports the growth and professional development of others
